AIMS AND SCOPE
====================================================

LPNMR 2026 is the eighteenth in the series of international conferences on logic programming and non-monotonic reasoning. LPNMR is a forum for exchanging ideas on declarative logic programming, non-monotonic reasoning, and knowledge representation. The aim of the conference is to facilitate interactions between researchers and practitioners interested in the design and implementation of logic-based programming languages and database systems, and those working in knowledge representation and non-monotonic reasoning. LPNMR strives to encompass theoretical and experimental studies that have led or will lead to advances in declarative programming and knowledge representation, as well as their use in practical applications.
LPNMR 2026 aims to bring together researchers from LPNMR and neighboring areas in order to share research experiences, promote collaboration and identify directions for joint future research.

The LPNMR 2026 Recently Published Research (RPR) track provides a forum to discuss recent research on topics related to logic programming and non-monotonic reasoning. We invite submissions of extended abstracts of papers that have appeared or have been accepted for publication in journals or conference proceedings in the years 2024-2026, but which have *not* already been presented at LPNMR. (Papers that have been presented at informal workshops, but have neither been published nor accepted at a journal or conference, are not eligible for the LPNMR 2026 RPR track.) The extended abstract should give an overview of the contributions of the published or accepted paper and outline its relevance to LPNMR.

SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION

LPNMR 2026 welcomes submissions of extended abstracts of up to 2 pages length (excluding references). Submissions must be written in English and be formatted according to Springer's guidelines and technical instructions available at:

Extended abstracts accepted to the LPNMR 2026 RPR track will be linked from the conference web site. At least one author of each accepted contribution is required to register for the conference to present the work.

VENUE
====================================================

LPNMR 2026 will be held on the campus of the University of Klagenfurt in September 2026. Klagenfurt is the capital of the state Carinthia in the south of Austria. The name Klagenfurt was first mentioned in the late 12th century and legend has it that Klagenfurt was founded after a couple of brave men had slain the abominable Lindwurm, a winged dragon. The city is located next to the lake Woerthersee, one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria, surrounded by several forest-covered hills and mountains. Being a small city, with a Renaissance-style city center reflecting 800 years of history and with an Italian influence, Klagenfurt is a pleasant place to live and work.
