INVITATION
------------
The Bialystok Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society invites to participate
in the 6th Podlasie Conference on Mathematics (6PCM), July 1-4, 2014,
Bialystok, Poland, http://katmat.pb.bialystok.pl/pcm14.
The Podlasie Conference on Mathematics is a biennial international conference
organised by the Bialystok Branch of Polish Mathematical Society in cooperation
with Bialystok University of Technology (the Faculty of Computer Science) and
the University of Bialystok (the Faculty of Economics and Management and the
Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics). The conference usually spans three and
a half days devoted to presentations and discussion. As during earlier PCMs,
there will be organised a plenary session and several special sessions. An
excursion and a conference dinner are planned too. The 6PCM is supported by
Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland.

The plenary talks (accessible to all participants) and invited talks in special
sessions will be delivered by the following established scientists (mentioned

PAPER SUBMISSION INFORMATION
------------------------------
Participants are invited to deliver a contributed talk (in English) and to take
part in one or more special sessions. Participation of younger researchers is
also encouraged. Two categories of submissions are proposed: (a) regular papers
or their extended abstracts, not exceeding 12 pages and (b) abstracts (1-2
pages). Submissions of type (a) are optional, whereas submissions of type (b)
are obligatory for those who would like to give a talk at the conference.
Plenary, invited, and accepted contributed papers will be published in
conference proceedings both on-line and as chapters of an electronic
multi-author edited book with an ISBN number. Abstracts of the talks will be
published in a traditional (paper) book of abstracts. After the conference,
authors of selected contributions will be invited to submit their papers to
scientific journals. Organisers are going to submit the 6PCM Proceedings to
on-line indexing services such as Web of Science, for inclusion in their
databases.
Authors are invited to submit (a) regular papers/extended abstracts (not
exceeding 12 pages) for including in the volume of proceedings and (b)
abstracts of papers (1-2 pages) for including in the book of abstracts using
EasyChair accessible directly from the conference page. The papers submitted
must not be published or considered for publication somewhere else.
IMPORTANT DATES

- March 15th, 2014: Paper submission deadline
- April 15th, 2014: Notification of paper acceptance
- May 10th, 2014: Abstract submission deadline for those who submit only
abstracts (1-2 pages)
- May 15th, 2014: Notification of abstract acceptance
- May 15th, 2014: Final versions of papers due
- May 23rd, 2014: Deadline for early registration and conference fee payment
- July 1st, 2014: Conference starts
CONFERENCE VENUE
-----------------
The 6th PCM will take place in Bialystok, in the buildings of the University of
Bialystok.
Bialystok, the biggest city of the North-East part of Poland, is surrounded by
four national parks,
of which the Bialowieza National Park is one of the most famous parks in Poland
and the Biebrza National Park is the biggest one. Bialystok is the capital of
the Podlasie province which, besides unspoiled nature, offers rich culture with
ethnic and religious diversity.
PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION
--------------------------------
The conference registration, followed by the conference fee payment, will
entitle to participation in plenary lectures and parallel special sessions,
coffee breaks and lunches, the volume of proceedings, the book of abstracts,
the conference dinner, and an excursion.
The 6PCM registration fees:
- Regular registration: 650 PLN (VAT 23\% included) if paid before or on May
23rd, 2014.
- Late registration: 750 PLN (VAT 23\% included) if paid after May 23rd, 2014
but not later than on July 1st, 2014.
In order to include an accepted submitted paper and/or abstract in the
conference program, the volume of proceedings, and the book of abstracts at
least one (co)author of the submission has to register and pay the conference
fee, attend the conference, and present the paper. Student participants of
Student Session are asked to register to the conference but they are exempted
from the conference fee payment. Other details about the registration and the
