[mizar] 2009 - Mizar Prize for Young Researchers
I would like to inform you that the Association of Mizar Users
has recently introduced "Mizar Prize for Young Researchers".
The initiator and first founder of this prize is prof. Krystyna
Kuperberg (Auburn University), one of the most famous mathematicians
of recent years, noted for discovering a counterexample to the Sejfert
conjecture [http://www.jstor.org/pss/2118623
Encyclopaedia Britannica Book of the Year 1995 (Events of 1994) p. 230].
I have the pleasure to announce that the winner of the first
"Mizar Prize for Young Researchers" in 2009 is Karol Pak from
University of Bialystok for his Mizar article
"The Nagata-Smirnov Theorem. Part II" (NAGATA_2).
Value of Prize: 1.000 Euro.
The prize was handed on December 2-nd, 2009 by
prof. Krystyna Kuperberg.
